Lit Hub reports that the Ursula K. Le Guin Foundation has named Pip Adam's novel Audition, published by Coffee House Press, the winner of the 2026 Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for Fiction. The prize honours books that reflect Le Guin's literary, moral and aesthetic ideals, writers she called "realists of a larger reality" who can imagine grounds for hope. The judges were Nicola Griffith, Mat Johnson, Darcie Little Badger, Fonda Lee and Peter Rock. In a statement they praised Adam's inventive structure and precise prose, and said the book makes metaphor concrete in the way the best science fiction and fantasy can, changing how readers see both the story and today's society. According to the judges, the novel follows three people whom society has judged worthless as they find their way back to themselves, to each other and to hope. They called it astonishing and, in the end, joyful. Adam receives $25,000. Photo by Marian Wood Kolisch, Oregon State University, CC BY-SA 2.0, via Wikimedia Commons.
به گزارش Lit Hub، بنیاد Ursula K. Le Guin Foundation رمان «Audition» نوشتهٔ پیپ آدام [Pip Adam] را که Coffee House Press منتشر کرده است برندهٔ Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for Fiction در سال ۲۰۲۶ اعلام کرد. عکس از Marian Wood Kolisch, Oregon State University، CC BY-SA 2.0، Wikimedia Commons
