The Center for Fiction has announced the shortlist for its annual First Novel Prize. This year's judges were R. O. Kwon, Kiese Laymon, Jordy Rosenberg and Danzy Senna. According to LitHub, each shortlisted author will receive $1,000, and the winner, to be announced in December, will receive $15,000. Seven debut novels made the list: "A Real Animal" by Emeline Atwood (Catapult), "Carrying" by Samantha Josephs (G. P. Putnam's Sons), "Whidbey" by T Kira Madden (Mariner Books), "Ruins, Child" by Giada Scodellaro (New Directions Publishing), "Offseason" by Avigayl Sharp (Astra House), "Blow Yourself Up" by Ankur Thakkar (TriQuarterly Books) and "The Four Wives and Five Deaths of Richard Milford" by Nafissa Thompson-Spires (Scribner). The Center for Fiction فهرست نهایی First Novel Prize سالانهٔ خود را اعلام کرده است. داوران امسال آر. او. کوان، کیسی لیمن، جوردی روزنبرگ و دنزی سنا بودند. به نوشتهٔ LitHub هر یک از نویسندگان فهرست نهایی هزار دلار دریافت می‌کند و برنده، که در دسامبر معرفی می‌شود، ۱۵ هزار دلار می‌گیرد. هفت نخستین رمان به فهرست راه یافته‌اند. این کتاب‌ها «A Real Animal» از امیلین اتوود [Emeline Atwood]، «Carrying» از سامانتا جوزفس، «Whidbey» از تی کایرا مدن، «Ruins, Child» از جادا اسکودلارو [Giada Scodellaro]، «Offseason» از اویگیل شارپ [Avigayl Sharp]، «Blow Yourself Up» از آنکور تاکار [Ankur Thakkar] و «The Four Wives and Five Deaths of Richard Milford» از نفیسا تامپسون‌اسپایرز هستند. ناشران آن‌ها به همین ترتیب Catapult، G.
