About this work
Isak Borg, a 78-year-old retired physician, drives from Stockholm to Lund to receive an honorary degree, and over one day dreams and memories force him to face the coldness of his life. Victor Sjöström gives his final screen performance, and the film won the Golden Bear at Berlin in 1958.
