American Theatre reports that a grassroots coalition has organized ZazaFest, a retrospective festival in New York City on June 18, 20, and 21, 2026, to honor the late theatre artist Diana Oh, known as Zaza, on the one-year anniversary of their passing. Oh was a Korean-American experimental theatre-maker, musician, and performer celebrated for boundary-pushing works such as my lingerie play, The Infinite Love Party, and My H8 Letter to the Gr8 American Theatre. The multi-site gathering brings together friends, chosen and birth family, and collaborators for grief and remembrance, with a performance called Lullabies for Zaza at Joe's Pub, an event titled Into the Zazaverse at the Bushwick Starr, retrospective screenings and installations of Oh's work, and a community ritual drawn from their Infinite Love Party and Art Church. The accompanying fundraiser also supports the ongoing stewardship of Oh's archive so their art remains accessible to future audiences.
