The Comet Is Coming are marking the tenth anniversary of their debut album "Channel The Spirits" with an expanded reissue. The Quietus reports that the new edition is titled "Exploding In Slow Motion: The Complete Channel The Spirits Recordings 2013-2017CE". It contains the full original album, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2016, the two EPs from the same period, "Prophecy" and "Death To The Planet", and four previously unreleased recordings. One of them, "Late Night Party Jam 2", was recorded at Total Refreshment Centre, the London venue, now closed, where the band were unofficial residents for several years. Bandleader Shabaka says the set is a snapshot of a particular energy in London at that time and takes him back to warehouse parties and sound systems. The band split in 2023 after four studio albums. Shabaka released his solo album "Perceive Its Beauty, Acknowledge Its Grace" in 2024 and followed it this year with "Of The Earth". The label Leaf will release the reissue on November 20, 2026. The Comet Is Coming
گروه The Comet Is Coming ده‌سالگی نخستین آلبوم خود، «Channel The Spirits»، را با بازنشر گسترده‌تر آن جشن می‌گیرد. شاباکا در ۲۰۲۴ آلبوم انفرادی «Perceive Its Beauty, Acknowledge Its Grace» را منتشر کرد و امسال «Of The Earth» را عرضه کرده است. Wikimedia Commons.
