This article examines how contemporary American women playwrights revisit the history of the women's movement while searching for a more just future. Through works including Suffs, What the Constitution Means to Me, John Proctor Is the Villain, Liberation, and Flex, the author highlights important differences between the experiences represented by white and Black women writers. Yet across these plays, solidarity, cooperation, and the search for common ground emerge as possible foundations for a fifth wave of feminism.
What the Constitution Means to Me، John Proctor Is the Villain، Liberation و Flex نشان میدهد که تجربه زنان، بهویژه زنان سفیدپوست و سیاهپوست، یکسان نیست.
