San Francisco Classical Voice features the new collaboration between Tierney Sutton, the acclaimed jazz vocalist and nine time Grammy nominee, and Tamir Hendelman, the pianist, composer, and arranger known for his lyrical and versatile musicianship. Their new album Spring is Sutton’s first voice and piano duo recording, shaped by years of collaboration, mutual trust, and musical conversation. Sutton, known for fresh interpretations of the Great American Songbook and albums devoted to figures such as Bill Evans, Frank Sinatra, Sting, and Joni Mitchell, enters a more intimate and open setting on this project. Spring brings together songs connected to the season’s moods of renewal, tenderness, change, and reflection, including Double Rainbow, Waters of Spring, April, Come She Will, Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most, and You Must Believe in Spring. Across the album, Sutton’s voice and Hendelman’s piano do not feel like soloist and accompanist, but like two equal voices in dialogue. Hendelman, whose work includes collaborations with Barbra Streisand, Natalie Cole, Paul McCartney, and the Clayton Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, shapes each song with sensitivity and subtle motion. The result is a warm, detailed, and intimate album that turns the simplicity of a duo format into a space for deeper attention to lyric, melody, and feeling.
Spring مجموعهای از قطعاتی با حال و هوای بهار، دگرگونی، لطافت و باززایی است؛ از Double Rainbow و Waters of Spring تا April, Come She Will، Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most و You Must Believe in Spring.
