About this work
The masterpiece of Ming-dynasty kunqu opera, in 55 scenes. Du Liniang, a young official's daughter, falls asleep in a garden and in a dream falls in love with an unknown scholar; she dies of longing. Years later that scholar, Liu Mengmei, finds her portrait, and his love brings Du Liniang back from the world of the dead.
شاهکار اپرای کون‌چو (کونکو) در چین دورهٔ مینگ، در ۵۵ صحنه. دو لی‌نیانگ، دختر جوان یک مقام، در باغ به خواب می‌رود و در رؤیا دلباختهٔ دانشجویی ناشناس می‌شود؛ از اندوه این عشق می‌میرد. سال‌ها بعد همان دانشجو، لیو منگ‌می، تصویر او را می‌یابد و عشقش دو لی‌نیانگ را از جهان مردگان بازمی‌گرداند.
