About this work
Abbas Nalbandian wrote this play as a teenager, and it won second prize in the playwriting competition of the second Shiraz Arts Festival in 1968. Arby Ovanessian, who argued it could be staged when some readers doubted it, directed it in the festival's open-air theatre in September 1968, a production that led to the founding of the experimental Kargah-e Namayesh (Theatre Workshop). According to BBC Persian, the production was later presented in France, at BITEF in Belgrade and at the Royal Court in London around 1970.
عباس نعلبندیان این نمایشنامه را در نوجوانی نوشت و با آن جایزهٔ دوم مسابقهٔ نمایشنامه‌نویسی دومین جشن هنر شیراز (۱۳۴۷) را برد. آربی اوانسیان، که برخلاف برخی داوران متن را قابل اجرا می‌دانست، آن را در شهریور ۱۳۴۷ در تئاتر فضای باز شیراز به صحنه برد و این اجرا سرآغاز همکاری آن دو و شکل‌گیری کارگاه نمایش شد. به گزارش بی‌بی‌سی فارسی، نمایش در ۱۳۴۹ در فرانسه، جشنوارهٔ بیتف بلگراد و تئاتر رویال کورت لندن نیز اجرا شد.
