A Study of the Creation of the Young Hero Character in Screenplays Based on the Hero's Journey Pattern While Considering Iranian Culture and Identity (Case Study: The Children's Films Ivan and The Child and the Angel)

This essay examines the hero's journey pattern developed by screenwriting theorist Vogler, which has shaped character development in film and television by emphasizing the stages of protagonist growth. The work reexamines the adolescent hero's journey through Vogler's model using documentary and library research methods, analyzing the phases of this journey within an archetypal framework while considering the requirements of Iranian culture and identity. The study contributes to screenwriting theory by adapting established hero's journey structures to cultural and developmental contexts specific to Iranian cinema.
