The Network of Ensemble Theaters (NET), a national network of ensemble-based theatre makers, is holding NETWeek Bay Area in Oakland and San Francisco from October 5 to 10. American Theatre reports that the week follows a pilot held in Chicago in May and opens a multi-year residency in the Bay Area, alongside four other cities. Organizers describe it as a week for building shared infrastructure among artists, cultural workers and organizers. Two national efforts run through it. The Federation Table is the design phase of a cooperative that would offer cultural workers pooled benefits, mutual aid and portable healthcare, with a pilot tied to the health fund of a large labor union. The second effort pairs frontline workers and community organizers with artist facilitators, and its first session takes place at EastSide Arts Alliance. The week comes during a national debate that began when Oskar Eustis of the Public Theater said the American nonprofit theatre movement is over. NET co-director Alexandra Meda answered, "Directors retire. Movements don't." A public roundtable of Black women directors and leaders closes the week on October 10. Network of Ensemble Theaters، شبکهٔ سراسری گروه‌های تئاتر جمعی در آمریکا، از ۵ تا ۱۰ اکتبر «NETWeek Bay Area» را در اوکلند و سن‌فرانسیسکو برگزار می‌کند. به نوشتهٔ American Theatre این هفته ادامهٔ برنامه‌ای آزمایشی است که ماه می در شیکاگو برگزار شد و آغاز حضور چندسالهٔ این شبکه در منطقهٔ خلیج سن‌فرانسیسکو و چهار شهر دیگر است. برگزارکنندگان می‌گویند هدف ساختن زیرساخت مشترک میان هنرمندان، کارکنان فرهنگی و فعالان اجتماعی است. دو طرح سراسری در این هفته پیش می‌رود. نخست «Federation Table» است که تعاونی‌ای برای کارکنان فرهنگی طراحی می‌کند تا مزایای مشترک، کمک متقابل و بیمهٔ درمانی‌ای فراهم شود که با تغییر کار از دست نرود. طرح آزمایشی آن با صندوق درمان یکی از بزرگ‌ترین اتحادیه‌های کارگری پیش می‌رود. طرح دوم کارگران خط مقدم و فعالان محلی را با هنرمندان همراه می‌کند و نخستین نشست آن در EastSide Arts Alliance برگزار می‌شود. این هفته در میانهٔ بحثی سراسری برپا شده است. اسکار یوستیس، مدیر هنری Public Theater، تابستان امسال گفته بود جنبش تئاتر غیرانتفاعی آمریکا به پایان رسیده است. الکساندرا مدا، از مدیران این شبکه، در پاسخ می‌گوید «مدیران بازنشسته می‌شوند، جنبش‌ها نه». میزگرد عمومی کارگردانان و مدیران زن سیاه‌پوست منطقه ۱۰ اکتبر برگزار می‌شود.
