Readers of San Francisco Classical Voice have chosen the winners of the Audience Choice Awards for the 2025–2026 season, an annual poll in which both the nominations and the final votes are in the hands of audiences, and which drew thousands of responses this year. The star of the season was Peter Whelan, who succeeded Nicholas McGegan as music director of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra. His first concert with the orchestra, Handel's Tolomeo, won both Favorite Opera Performance and Favorite Baroque/Early Music Performance, and Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen, who sang the title role, was named Favorite Opera Singer. Whelan himself won Favorite Conductor and his orchestra took Favorite Early Music/Baroque Ensemble. The San Francisco Symphony won Favorite Orchestra with 37 percent of the vote, and Elim Chan's performance of Debussy's La Mer won Favorite Orchestra Performance, the concert she led just after being introduced as the orchestra's next music director. Berkeley Community Chorus & Orchestra, in its 60th season, won both Favorite Community Orchestra and Favorite Choral Performance for the world premiere of Michael Schachter's Terezín Requiem, a work it commissioned in memory of the prisoners and victims of the Terezín camp, which the group will perform in the Netherlands, Prague and at Terezín itself in the summer of 2027. Alonzo King LINES Ballet's Deep River, a meditation on grief and consolation that fuses Black spirituals with Jewish liturgical music, won Favorite Dance Performance. Valley of the Moon Music Festival in Sonoma was voted Favorite Festival for the third year running, and Berkeley's The Freight took Favorite Club Venue.

خوانندگان San Francisco Classical Voice برندگان جوایز انتخاب مخاطبان فصل ۲۰۲۵–۲۰۲۶ را برگزیدند، نظرسنجی سالانه‌ای که هم نامزدها و هم برندگانش با رأی خود مخاطبان تعیین می‌شود و امسال هزاران پاسخ گرفت. ستاره فصل پیتر ویلن بود که جانشین نیکلاس مک‌گیگن در رهبری Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra شد. نخستین کنسرت او با این ارکستر، اجرای اپرای Tolomeo از هندل، هم بهترین اجرای اپرا شد و هم بهترین اجرای موسیقی باروک، و آریه نوسبام کوهن که نقش اصلی را می‌خواند خواننده اپرای محبوب شد. خود ویلن رهبر محبوب و ارکسترش بهترین گروه موسیقی قدیم شناخته شد. Deep River از Alonzo King LINES Ballet، تأملی بر سوگ و تسلا که سرودهای معنوی سیاهان و موسیقی آیینی یهودی را در هم می‌آمیزد، بهترین اجرای رقص شد. جشنواره Valley of the Moon در سونوما برای سومین سال پیاپی جشنواره محبوب مخاطبان شد و The Freight در برکلی محبوب‌ترین کلوب موسیقی.
