Asymptote has announced that its Fall 2026 edition will include a special showcase of contemporary Czech writing, produced in partnership with the Czech Literary Centre. The feature will include literary fiction, literary nonfiction, and poetry, with a particular emphasis on introducing new Czech voices to Anglophone readers. Authors and translators are invited to submit work for consideration, with all submission fees waived. Each published piece will receive a $100 honorarium to be shared by the author and translator and paid to the person who submitted the work. Asymptote previously organized a similar feature devoted to Slovenian literature earlier this year. Submissions must follow the magazine's general guidelines, including its word-count requirements, and the deadline is October 1, 2026. The initiative continues Asymptote's broader effort to expand the visibility of literature in translation and bring writers who are still little known in English into wider international circulation.
ادبیات معاصر چک در شماره پاییز Asymptote
