About the Event

Sadeh 2024 was the first Sadeh celebration ever staged in Sacramento, produced by Owrang Institute in collaboration with the Zoroastrian Society of Sacramento and held at their performance hall.

The event featured Owrang Institute artists and students alongside guest artists from the Bay Area, creating a rich and memorable evening of Persian art, music, and festivity.

Sadeh marks the triumph of light over darkness, celebrated 50 days before Nowruz. This historic first edition laid the foundation for what has become an annual celebration of Persian heritage in Sacramento.

In 2024, the Sadeh Festival was officially registered internationally, marking a milestone for Persian cultural preservation in the diaspora.
