Pouyan Tayefeh is an American-Iranian filmmaker and photographer whose work explores the intersection of cinema, philosophy, and visual poetry.

Since 2000, he has directed feature films and television series for Iranian and Turkish networks, developing a cinematic language that merges social realism with lyric imagery and emotional depth.

Since 2017, he has expanded his practice through photography, translating his cinematic sensibility into still images that investigate time, light, solitude, and human presence. His photographic projects in Iran, the United States, and France — during the Cannes Film Festival — reflect an ongoing interest in the poetic dimensions of everyday life.

In addition to his artistic work, Pouyan is professionally active in fashion and portrait photography, bringing a refined visual narrative and stylistic precision to his subjects. He also works in industrial and commercial photography, producing high-quality visual content for advertising projects.
