Mortal Comedy

The first act of Mortal Comedy was performed on the occasion of Yalda Night, at the invitation of the Fresno Iranian Cultural & Arts Association, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno. Written in two separate acts and inspired by three works of Sadegh Hedayat, the play offers a satirical lens on the story of human creation, the formation of social bonds, ideologies, and ultimately the love and tenderness — as well as the wars and conflicts — that define our shared humanity.
