بیوولف یک حماسهٔ کهن به زبان انگلیسی باستان است که داستان جنگجویی جوان و اسرارآمیز را روایت میکند که قوم اسپیر-دینها را از شر هیولایی هراسانگیز به نام گرندل و مادر سمّی او نجات میدهد. این اثر از دیرباز جایگاه ثابتی در درسهای ادبیات انگلیسی دانشگاههای سراسر جهان داشته و یکی از کهنترین و در عین حال هیجانانگیزترین افسانههای فولکلور انگلیسی به شمار میرود. این نسخه با ترجمهٔ گامر ارائه شده است.
