کمدی الهی منظومهای حماسی به زبان ایتالیایی اثر دانته آلیگیری است که میان سالهای ۱۳۰۸ تا ۱۳۲۱ میلادی نوشته شده است. این اثر تصویری جامع از جهانبینی قرون وسطایی درباره آخرت ارائه میدهد. دانته در این منظومه سفری را از دوزخ و برزخ تا بهشت به تصویر میکشد. کمدی الهی را هم آخرین اثر بزرگ قرون وسطا و هم نخستین اثر بزرگ رنسانس دانستهاند. این اثر در تثبیت گویش توسکانی به عنوان زبان معیار ایتالیایی نقشی اساسی داشته و در شمار بزرگترین آثار ادبیات جهان جای میگیرد.
