این مقالهای پژوهشی است دربارهی تلاش خانوادههای کمدرآمد برای تحصیل فرزندانشان. پژوهش از این نقطه آغاز میشود که فرزندان چنین خانوادههایی توانستهاند به موفقیت تحصیلی دست یابند و یکی از آنها از دانشگاه گاجا مادا، که بهعنوان دانشگاه برتر اندونزی معرفی شده، فارغالتحصیل شده است. پدر خانواده دورهفروش ماهی با دوچرخهای فرسوده بوده و مادر برگ نخل جمع میکرده است. پژوهش بررسی میکند که والدین چگونه فرزندان خود را در مسیر تحصیل حمایت کرده و چه روشهایی را به کار گرفتهاند.
