Reflection of the Components of Brecht's Epic-Didactic Theater in the Use of Anecdotes from the Masnavi and Maqalat-e Shams

This is a scholarly article examining the narrative and didactic structure of the poetic stories found in the Ghazaliyat-e Shams and the anecdotes of the Maqalat. It investigates whether these two bodies of work, one by Rumi and one by Shams, share a common narrative-didactic framework, given the profound influence Shams exerted on Rumi. The article notes that while previous research has addressed the thematic content of stories in the Ghazaliyat, their structural analysis within a narrative-didactic system, alongside the Maqalat anecdotes, has not previously been undertaken.
