About this work

This is a fragment of a legal or regulatory document, apparently from an early twentieth century Iranian context, concerning public order. The surviving text sets out rules closing all wine and spirits shops, theatres, cinematograph houses, and gambling clubs, and prescribing that anyone found drunk be brought before a court. The fragment is too incomplete to allow a fuller summary.
