The Shiraz school of painting produced distinctive illuminated manuscripts during the Injuids, Muzaffarids, and Timurid periods. Its visual language, distinguished by how it treats time as a cognitive and experiential dimension, differs significantly from other artistic traditions and warrants study. Synchronic and diachronic approaches offer methods for analyzing pictorial texts like paintings either at a specific moment or across successive temporal layers, examining how visual elements function together within a single image or evolve through time.
مکتب نگارگری شیراز، برخوردار از نگاره‌های متمایزی در دوره‌های آل‌اینجو، آل‌مظفر و تیموری است که زبان بصری آن، از حیث استمرار و زمینه‌های تجربه‌شناختی، در بیانی متفاوت از سایر مکاتب هنری به‌لحاظ اهمیتِ نقش زمان، شایستۀ بررسی است. بر این اساس، رویکرده‌ای هم‌زمانی و درزمانی روش‌هایی هستند که امکان بررسی متنی تصویری چون نگاره را در مقطعی خاص یا در لایه‌های متوالی زمان فراهم می‌کنند. به‌عبارت دیگر، رویکرد هم‌زمانی، عناصر تصویری را که هم‌زمان در مناسبت با سایر اجزاء و عناصر، در یک نگاره به کار رفت...
