About this work
At the Shiraz Arts Festival Ravi Shankar, accompanied by Alla Rakha, played raga Madhuvanti: an unmetered alap followed by a gat in rupak tala. National Iranian Radio and Television filmed the concert, and a copy is on Wikimedia Commons; the exact year is not settled in the sources (1970s). Indian masters were a mainstay of the festival's Asian music programme.
راوی شانکار در جشن هنر شیراز، با همراهی الا رخا، راگای مدهونتی را با آلاپ بی‌وزن و سپس گت در تالِ روپک اجرا کرد. فیلم این اجرا را تلویزیون ملی ایران ضبط کرد و نسخه‌ای از آن در ویکی‌مدیا کامنز در دسترس است؛ سال دقیق اجرا در منابع روشن نیست (دههٔ ۱۹۷۰). حضور استادان هندی از ستون‌های برنامهٔ موسیقی آسیایی جشن بود.
