این اثر پژوهشی است که به بررسی تصویر آینه و بازتاب در شعر دو شاعر زن میپردازد: فروغ فرخزاد ایرانی (۱۳۱۴-۱۳۴۵) و همروزگار آمریکایی او سیلویا پلات (۱۹۳۲-۱۹۶۳). نویسنده نشان میدهد که هر دو شاعر از تصویر آینه برای بیان حالات پرتلاطم روحی و عاطفی خود بهره بردهاند و از این راه تجربههای درونی زنان را به خواننده منتقل کردهاند. این اثر برای کسانی جذاب است که به شعر زنانه، نقد ادبی تطبیقی، یا آثار فرخزاد و پلات علاقه دارند.
