About this work
Clara Rockmore, a Lithuanian-born violinist, became the first true virtuoso of the theremin, the electronic instrument played without touch. Her first album, made with her sister Nadia Reisenberg at the piano and recorded by Robert Moog, presents arrangements of Rachmaninoff, Saint-Saëns, Stravinsky and others and showed the instrument could sing with expressive control.
کلارا راکمور، ویولن‌نوازی زادهٔ لیتوانی، نخستین نوازندهٔ چیره‌دست ترمین بود؛ سازی الکترونیک که بی‌لمس نواخته می‌شود. نخستین آلبوم او که با همراهی خواهرش نادیا رایزنبرگ در پیانو و با ضبط رابرت موگ ساخته شد، تنظیم‌هایی از راخمانینوف، سن‌سانس، استراوینسکی و دیگران را در بر دارد و نشان داد این ساز می‌تواند با بیانی ظریف آواز بخواند.
