About this work
A comedy based on Nušić's story about an American elephant and the people of the town of "K", staged in September 1979 in the main hall of Tehran City Theatre, with the late Sirous Gorjestani as the elephant. The teenage Akbar Abdi made his professional debut in it, first in the crowd and then in a major role; performances were suspended for several days after press and pressure-group attacks.
نمایشی کمدی بر اساس داستان نوشیچ دربارهٔ فیلی آمریکایی و مردم شهر «ک» که در شهریور ۱۳۵۸ در تالار اصلی تئاتر شهر تهران روی صحنه رفت، با بازی زنده‌یاد سیروس گرجستانی در نقش فیل. اکبر عبدیِ نوجوان نخستین کار حرفه‌ای‌اش را در همین نمایش، نخست در میان جمعیت شهر و سپس در یکی از نقش‌های اصلی، تجربه کرد؛ اجرا پس از حمله‌های مطبوعاتی و گروه‌های فشار چند روز تعطیل شد.
