About this work
Safi Faye's debut feature, made with her family and the villagers of Fad'jal: Ngor, a young farmer who cannot afford a bride price, leaves for work in Dakar. Blending documentary and fiction, it portrays rural life and the groundnut economy; it was restored for Locarno in 2026.
نخستین فیلم بلند صافی فای که با مشارکت خانواده و اهالی روستای فاجال ساخته شد: نگور، کشاورزی جوان که توان پرداخت شیربها ندارد، برای کار به داکار می‌رود. فیلم زندگی روستایی و اقتصاد کشت بادام‌زمینی را با شیوه‌ای میان مستند و داستان روایت می‌کند و در ۲۰۲۶ در لوکارنو مرمت شد.
