About this work
A wounded man with no memory drifts out of the fog onto the shore of a northern Iranian village, marries a widow and is met with suspicion. Beyzaie builds a mysterious tale of strangeness and fear of the unknown from local rituals and myth.
مردی زخمی و بی‌خاطره با قایقی از دل مه به ساحل روستایی در شمال ایران می‌رسد، با زنی بیوه ازدواج می‌کند و مردم ده با بدگمانی به او می‌نگرند. بیضایی با آیین‌ها و اسطوره‌های بومی، داستانی رازآلود دربارهٔ غریبگی و ترس از ناشناخته می‌سازد.
