About this work
In a small town, Dr. Caligari appears at a fair with a somnambulist named Cesare just as a series of murders begins. Its painted, distorted sets made the film the emblem of German Expressionism.
در یک شهر کوچک، دکتر کالیگاری با خواب‌گردی به نام سزار در بازار مکاره ظاهر می‌شود و هم‌زمان قتل‌هایی رخ می‌دهد. دکوره‌ای کج و نقاشی‌شدهٔ فیلم آن را به نماد اکسپرسیونیسم آلمانی بدل کرده است.
