Fortuny (1983) by Pere Gimferrer is the only novel (at least to date) that the author has written in Catalan and it represents one of the most unique novels of contemporary Hispanic narrative. رمان فورتونی اثری منحصربه‌فرد در ادبیات معاصر اسپانیایی‌زبان است که پِر جیمفِرِر، نمایندۀ برجستۀ خلاقیت نسل پس‌از جنگ، سال ۱۹۸۳ به زبان کاتالان نوشته است. این تنها رمانی است که گیمفرر تاکنون به این زبان سروده. مطالعۀ حاضر به روشن کردن یکی از آثار مهم اما کم‌شناخته شدۀ این نویسنده برمی‌خیزد و پذیرش انتقادی رمان و تحول آن را تحلیل می‌کند.
