Manifestation and Application of Architectural Ornaments of the Soltaniyeh Dome in Zanjan in Selected Illustrations of the Great Ilkhanid Shahnama (Demotte) in the Ilkhanid Period

This is an essay examining beauty as a divine gift manifest throughout Iranian life and culture. The text argues that beauty has been integral to all practical objects and aspects of Iranian society, and that decorative ornamentation represents a fundamental principle of Iranian art. The essay explores how decorative elements flow across different Iranian artistic traditions without clear boundaries between them, particularly noting the interchange between architectural decoration and the illuminated manuscript paintings of classical texts such as Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, where the grandeur of buildings is reflected within painted frames.
