The Extraordinary in Persian Mystical Narratives and Several Stories of Magical Realism

This is a scholarly article or study examining how to analyze the structure of magical realist narratives and mystical tales containing extraordinary events. The author argues that viewing extraordinary elements as components whose place is determined by their internal relation to the overall design provides an appropriate method for studying such works. To demonstrate the deep connection between magical structure and the design of these texts, the study analyzes the narrative structure of mystical tales from classical Islamic texts including Asrar al-Tawhid, Risalat al-Qushayri, Kashf al-Mahjub, Mirsad al-Ibad, and Misbah al-Huda wa Miftah al-Kifaya, alongside modern narrative works including One Hundred Years of Solitude, Metamorphosis, The Most Beautiful Drowned Person in the World, The Old Man with Enormous Wings, and Aura.
