Introduction and Analytical Review of the Commentary on Ibn Sina's Ode of Spirituality (Ainiyyah) by the Author Shahrudy Bastami, Based on the Manuscript Copies of This Work

This study presents an analytical introduction to an important but little-known commentary on Ibn Sina's Ode of Essence, written by Sheikh Ali ibn Majd al-Din Muhammad, known as Musannifak Shahrudi Bastami, who died in 875 AH. A descendant of Fakhr al-Din al-Razi, Bastami was versed in Arabic literature, jurisprudence, theology, Quranic interpretation, and mysticism. He composed this commentary in Bastam in 837 AH and later presented it to Sultan Muhammad the Conqueror, the Ottoman ruler, after migrating to Anatolia. The commentary draws on extensive sources ranging from religious texts, including Quranic verses and hadith, to philosophical sources.
