Ryota Matsumoto is an artist, educator, producer, cultural programmer, urban planner, and architect based in the United States and Japan. As a media theorist, he is highly recognized as the founder of the postdigital art and architecture. Born in Tokyo, he was raised in Hong Kong and Japan. ریوتا ماتسوموتو هنرمند، آموزشگر، تهیهکننده و برنامهریز فرهنگی ژاپنی و آمریکایی است که در زمینه تئوری رسانه فعال است. او بنیانگذار هنر و معماری پسادیجیتال شناخته می‌شود. ماتسوموتو در توکیو متولد شد و در هنگکنگ و ژاپن بزرگ شد. تحصیلات معماری خود را در آسوسیشن معماری لندن و دبیرستان مک‌اینتاش گلاسگو دنبال کرد و مدرک کارشناسی ارشد معماری را از دانشگاه پنسیلوانیا در سال ۲۰۰۷ دریافت کرد.
