Social Factors Predicting Experiences of Abuse and Neglect in Childhood and Behavioral Disorders in a Sample of Middle School Female Students.

This is a research study investigating the social factors that predict experiences of childhood abuse and neglect and behavioral disorders in a sample of middle school girls. The researcher employed descriptive (correlational-comparative) methodology and clinical methodology for some extreme cases. The study sample consisted of 340 randomly selected female students. The research used three instruments: a scale measuring social factors explaining abuse and neglect experiences (researcher-developed), a scale assessing childhood abuse experiences (Mojawer, 2018), and a behavioral disorders checklist for children and adolescents. The study examines relationships between social variables and both childhood maltreatment and behavioral problems in this population.
