About this work

This is an academic essay examining the structural differences between mythological and epic narrative. Using tools from structuralist and narratological theory, the author compares a specific mythological narrative found in the Avesta and Pahlavi texts with the retelling of that same narrative in the Shahnameh. The aim is to trace how epic as a genre evolved from mythological narrative and to identify the structural transformations that distinguish the two forms, with the broader goal of illuminating the narrative laws governing different genres of verbal art.

امروز یه لطف پیشرفت مطالعات ساختار گرا و نظریه‌های روایت‌شناسی، امکان بازشناسی گونه‌های مختلف روایی یه شکل دقیق‌تری فراهم آمده است. شناخت قوانین روایی حاکم بر هر یک از گونه‌های و تفاوت‌های ساختاری میان آن‌ها، به درک بهتر تمایزهای میان ژانرهای گوناگون کلام کمک شایانی خواهد کرد. «حماسه» گونه‌ای است که بر اثر تکامل جنیه‌هایی از روایت اسطوره‌ای به وجود آمده است. هدف ما در جستار، هم‌سنجی یک روایت اسطوره‌ای مشخص(در اوستا و متون پهلوی) با ساخت همان روایت در شاهنامه است. مقصود ازچنین مقایسه‌ای، بررسی...
