فرح پهلوی: دخترک دریا (شنیداری) (کانون پرورش فکری)چند ماهی بعد، (سال ۱۳۴۵) با چاپ کتاب «دخترک دریا» نوشتهٔ «هانس کریستین آندرسن» [نویسندهٔ دانمارکی] که «فرح پهلوی» آن را ترجمه و نقاشی کرده بود اولین گام از فعالیتهای این بنیاد غیرانتفاعی برداشته شد. بنا به متنی که در صفحهٔ پایانی کتاب چاپ شده است: «وجوه حاصل از فروش این کتاب که از طرف علیاحضرت شهبانو فرح به کانون پرورش فکری کودکان و نوجوانان اعطا شده است، از طرف کانون صرف تاسیس کتابخانههای کودکان در شهرها و روستاها خواهد شد.» نویسنده: هانس کریستین آندرسن؛ تصویرگر: فرح پهلوی. از آثار کانون پرورش فکری کودکان و نوجوانان، ۱۳۴۴ خورشیدی برابر ۱۹۶۵ میلادی. نوع: کتاب. نسخه صوتی: https://pub-bb19fb164de34ceba8e1f61082e25196.r2.dev/kpf/dastan-dokhtarake-darya-01.mp3
