About this work
This essay examines the mountain's profound significance in Persian culture from ancient times to the present. Before Islam, mountains were revered for their mythological character, including as the dwelling place of the goddess Anahita, and numerous myths became permanently associated with these eternal peaks. This sacred status gave mountains special value that shaped Iranian architectural, urban, and artistic creation. The influence of mountains is visible in tombs, shrines, paintings, miniatures, and the spatial organization of cities.
کوه نزد ایرانیان از دورانهای کهن تا کنون دارای جایگاه ویژهای بوده است. قبل از اسلام بواسطه شخصیت اسطورهای آن و از جمله محل زندگی الهه آناهیتا ستایش شده است و بسیاری از اسطورههای دیگر نیز در ارتباط تنگاتنگ با کوه جاودان شدهاند. به همین واسطه شخصیت کوه نیز از ارزش ویژهای برخوردار بوده و این مهم در خلق آثار معماری، شهری و هنری ایران تاثیر گذار بوده است. مقابر، بقعهها، نقاشیها، میناتورها و همچنین سازمان فضایی شهرها از جمله آثاری هستند که رد پای کوه را در شکلگیری آنان میتوان مشاهده نمود....
