This is a research article examining the role of water in shaping architectural elements, with a particular focus on water-related spaces and features within gardens. The study classifies and defines the various types of water elements found in gardens, with special attention to pools and basins, and analyzes the different forms they take. Using a descriptive and analytical method, the research argues that environmental and climatic conditions, alongside the functional characteristics of gardens and the cultural meanings attached to water, together play a significant role in determining how water elements are formed and shaped.
