این پژوهش به بررسی یک نهاد آموزشی و خیریهی اسلامی میپردازد که در حال حاضر در یونان قرار دارد. محققان از طریق بازدیدهای مکرر و مقایسهی دقیق منابع، آثار موجود در این نهاد در شهر کاوالا را فهرستنویسی کرده و ترکیب کامل کتابخانه را تا حد زیادی بازسازی نمودهاند، از جمله مجموعههایی که پیشتر شناسایی نشده بودند. این پژوهش ادامه و تکمیل مطالعات پیشین دربارهی این نهاد است و جنبههای مرتبط دیگری را نیز مورد ارزیابی قرار داده است.
