این مقاله به بررسی دسترسی آزاد (Open Access) به ادبیات علمی و میزان استفاده از آن در کشورهای مختلف میپردازد. در دهه اخیر، سیاستهای حمایتی نهادها و مؤسسات مالی، همراه با پلتفرمهای جدید انتشار رایگان، باعث گسترش چشمگیر دسترسی آزاد شدهاند. پژوهشها نشان میدهند که نزدیک به نیمی از ادبیات علمی معاصر به صورت رایگان در دسترس است. این مطالعه با هدف مقایسه میزان بهرهگیری از این محتوا در میان کشورهای گوناگون انجام شده است، حوزهای که تاکنون کمتر مورد توجه قرار گرفته است.
