Validation of the Halbert Index of Sexual Desire (HISD)

This is a research article reporting the validation and psychometric standardization of the Hurlbert Index of Sexual Desire on a sample of married women and men in Isfahan. A total of 325 participants were recruited in two stages from cultural centers in Isfahan during the summer of 2011, using convenience sampling. Participants completed the Hurlbert questionnaire alongside criterion measures including a sexual desire inventory, a sexual self-disclosure scale, and a sexual functioning scale. Results were analyzed using internal consistency reliability coefficients, with the source text cutting off before the findings are fully reported.
