A Persian translation of René Descartes's Discourse on the Method, rendered by Mohammad Ali Foroughi and published in 1344. The work is a foundational philosophical text in which Descartes lays out his method for reasoning correctly and seeking truth, most famously through systematic doubt and the principles derived from it. Foroughi's translation made this landmark of Western philosophy accessible to Persian-speaking readers, representing a significant moment in the introduction of modern European thought to Iranian intellectual life.
