Examining the Indicators of Children's and Young Adult Poetry in the Domain of the Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense

This is a scholarly article that examines standards and criteria for Persian poetry written for children and young adults on the themes of the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defense (the Iran-Iraq War). Using a descriptive-analytical method and library sources, the study investigates the core elements of children's poetry, including subject matter, imagination and fantasy, language, and thought, and identifies what standards these elements should meet in war-themed verse for young readers. Among its findings, the article argues that such poetry requires simple, natural language, and that colloquial speech should be avoided, as children learning literary language risk confusion if exposed to conflicting registers.
