این مقاله به بررسی ویژگیهای تعارض و شخصیتپردازی در نمایشنامههای معاصر اوکراینی میپردازد که در آنها از «کرونوتوپ غیرواقعی» بهره گرفته شده است. محدوده زمانی مورد بررسی دهه اول قرن بیستویکم است. نویسنده نشان میدهد که این آثار انواع گوناگونی از تعارض را در خود جای دادهاند، از جمله تعارضهای درونی و بیرونی، ایدئولوژیک، اجتماعی، عاشقانه، خانوادگی، اخلاقی، دینی و وجودی، و این تعارضها اغلب در هم میآمیزند یا به یکدیگر تبدیل میشوند. همچنین نظام شخصیتها در بستر این فضای غیرواقعی تحلیل شده است.
