About this work
A prose essay from a medieval Persian treatise, this is the second of four articles by Nizami Aruzi, written in 1306. It examines the nature of the art of poetry and the qualifications a poet must possess. The article argues that poetry is a craft by which the poet arranges imagined premises in a structured way.
