About this work
"A fruit and a palm tree and a pomegranate." I think the palm tree is what we have, and this must be the pomegranate. Al-Asmaʿī said: O Commander, now give two purses of gold, for he does not even know what a pomegranate is.
فٰاکِهَةٌ وَ نَخْلٌ وَ رُمّٰانٌ» نخل نزد ما هست گمان می‌برم که این رمانست اصمعی گفت امیر اکنون دو بدرهٔ زر بده زیرا که او رمان را نیز نمی‌داند که چیست
