Minefield (Campo minado)
Author: Lola Arias · 2016
About this work
According to the description on Lola Arias's official channel, six veterans of the 1982 Falklands/Malvinas war, three Argentine and three on the British side, rebuild their memories of the war and its aftermath on a film set that works as a time machine; one is now a special-needs teacher, one a psychologist, another a triathlon champion. According to Aleks Sierz in The Arts Desk, Lou Armour watches a documentary clip of himself breaking down, Marcelo Vallejo returns to the islands and Ruben Otero recalls surviving the sinking of the General Belgrano. According to Stewart Pringle in Time Out, the men themselves form the show's live band and carry the story from the first days of the conflict to therapy and life afterwards.
