About this work
According to Golden Thread, each wedding anniversary Donya and Davood travel to the seaside town of their honeymoon. According to Iranketab and Local News Matters, this tenth trip is on the road to divorce, since the papers they need are with Donya's mother in the north. A mysterious young man named Danial follows them and says he has to commit a murder or something like one. According to Barry David Horwitz in Theatrius, the couple travel in wedding clothes; according to Golden Thread, they slip back through time and recall their nine earlier trips; and according to Amelia Williams, the story of the Tower of Babel keeps returning to their talk.
