About this work
This album gathers previously unissued recordings by Munojat Yulchieva, the leading singer of Uzbek classical music and Shashmaqam, made in Uzbekistan between 2006 and 2011 and released in 2023 by the Italian label Felmay; it is her first new album in Europe after the 1994 and 1997 discs. Its eleven pieces, including Chorgoh and Ul Kim Jono, come mostly from the maqam repertoire and include ghazals by her teacher Shavkat Mirzaev. She is accompanied by masters such as Turgun Alimatov (tanbur, sato) and Shavkat Mirzaev (rubob), with ghijjak, qonun, chang, nay and doira players.
این آلبوم گزیده‌ای از ضبط‌های منتشرنشدهٔ مناجات یولچیوا، خوانندهٔ برجستهٔ موسیقی کلاسیک ازبک و شش‌مقام، است که میان ۲۰۰۶ و ۲۰۱۱ در ازبکستان ضبط شد و در ۲۰۲۳ در نشر ایتالیایی Felmay منتشر شد؛ نخستین آلبوم تازهٔ او در اروپا پس از دو آلبوم ۱۹۹۴ و ۱۹۹۷. یازده قطعهٔ آن، از جمله «چارگاه» (Chorgoh) و «اول کیم جانا» (Ul Kim Jono)، بیشتر از رپرتوار مقامی است و چند غزل از استاد او شوکت میرزایف را هم در بر می‌گیرد. گروه همراه او استادانی چون تورغون عالم‌اتوف (تنبور، ساتو)، شوکت میرزایف (رباب) و نوازندگان غیچک، قانون، چنگ، نی و دایره‌اند.
